In my opinion I think they mean that kids "are nutritious snacks to our lives" because without them we wouldn't have the extra zest in life. Our lives are more satisfactory because then we have families come in and make life more fun, and challenging.
i never had a chance to look at the article but just looking at the headline i think it means that they make good treats hahaha. and that its easy to underestimate the power and impact kids can have on us
When I see this heading, I think about my children making healthy choices. On occasion, during lunch hour they are given money to eat at the mall next to the school. Since they had a cold I asked them to eat well. While in line at the lunch counter, my youngest daughter wanted to order a poutin, while my oldest daughter commented, "remember Raven your sick." therefor, leaving her to make a more healthy choice. The lady at the lunch counter was amazed and commented after she changed her order to pea soup, "wow, you kids are healthy eaters." True they did not actually make the healthy snack, moreover, they made the healthy choice.
I too have not had the chance to read the article but I think it would mean they are talking about children making healthy snacks. In different communities like my own, they have a some what program for the children to make healthy snacks, it shows them how and different ways. I think one of the purposes of this is to raise awareness on child diabetes expecailly seeing that native reserves have a higher risk of diabetes. It would also have some impact on our over weight children or obese children, it would help them to make or try better eating habits.
I think the headline "Kids Make Nutritious Snacks" means that children see what they're parents eat during snack time and if the parents' are choosing to eat healthier then the child will make the right decision in doing the same.
As for personal experience, I like taking my nephew's out to grocery stores and buying fruits and vegetables. I never allow them to eat junk food, because I know what it can do. Teaching them at a younger age to eat well will keep them fit when they are older and less likely to become ill.
I never had the opportunity to look at the article, but I think that it refers to how we set an example when we eat, if were sitting there munching on junk food and kids see what we are doing, they are going to do the same. We are after all suppose to be setting an example for the children.
When I see the headlines kids make healthy snacks, I think that they mean that kids makes healthy decision when it comes to eating according to the Canadian Food Guide. Children are becoming more aware of the toxins that we consume on a daily basis. The children are now provided with the appropriate information on eating healthy, and making the right choices on what to eat.

I think that it means that we need to keep track on what we are feeding and teaching our children.
It could mean that they take in all we give them, they are like sponges and absorb everything around them.
Kids are the link to all.
